The Rangers agreed to a deal with veteran left-hander Martín Pérez, pending a physical, according to a report on Friday from FanSided’s Robert Murray. The team has not confirmed.
Pérez spent the first seven seasons of his career with Texas, before moving on to the Twins and spending the past two years with the Red Sox.
Pérez went 7-8 last season with a 4.74 ERA in 36 games, 22 of them starts. He set career highs in K/9 (7.7) and K/BB (2.69).
