With the MLB season postponed a week after a three-plus month long lockout, the first two series were originally canceled.
Now, the Yankees have those seven games against the Texas Rangers and Houston Astros rescheduled.
What was originally slated as the opening series of the season in Globe Life Park is now the final series of the year – the Yankees will face the Rangers in a four-game series from Oct. 3 to 5, with a doubleheader being played on Oct. 4.
The Yankees will have two separate trips to Minute Maid Park in Houston – the two teams will face off on June 30 after the Yankees wrap up a home series against the Oakland A’s the afternoon prior, before heading to Cleveland for a three-game weekend set against the Guardians.
The Yankees will then go back to Houston for a day-night doubleheader on July 21, two days after the All-Star Game, and then travel to Baltimore for a three-game series against the Orioles. They were originally supposed to end the season in…
