The Giants have agreed to terms with free-agent outfielder Joc Pederson, Jon Morosi of MLB Network reports. Per Jon Heyman, it’s a one-year deal worth $6 million.
Pederson, a Bay Area native who turns 30 in April, is coming off a 2021 season in which he batted .238/.310/.422 with 18 home runs in 137 games for the Cubs and Braves. While his numbers were down overall last season, Pederson was an important piece of the Braves in what turned out to be a championship season for Atlanta. For his career, Pederson owns an OPS+ of 112 across parts of eight MLB seasons, seven of which came with the Dodgers.
