March 16: RHPs Greg Holland and Dan Winkler signed to Minor League deals with invitations to Major League camp
The Rangers added a pair of veteran arms on Minor League deals to provide depth for the pitching staff. Holland thrived in 2020 with Kansas City, going 3-0 with six saves and a 1.91 ERA. He posted a 4.85 ERA over 55 2/3 innings in ‘21. He was also a member of the Royals’ back-to-back American League pennant winners in ’14-15 in his first stint with the club. Winkler spent the last two seasons with the Cubs, going 1-3 with a 5.22 ERA over 47 relief appearances in ‘21. — Kennedi Landry
